Help, contact, and how the game works

Bug reports, feedback, or anything else: support@neonflux.online

If you are reporting a bug, it helps a lot to know which device you are on, which version of the game (shown at the bottom of the main menu), and what you were doing when it happened.

How to play

You are the ring at the centre. Your ring has a colour. So does every enemy.

Match the colour to destroy. Touching an enemy of the same colour as your ring destroys it and scores.
Mismatch costs you. Touching an enemy of a different colour costs 25 HP out of 200. Eight mistakes and the run is over.
Shift colour constantly. The SHIFT control cycles cyan → magenta → yellow. Reading the field and shifting ahead of time is the whole game.

SHIELD pushes everything away from you and recharges over time — it is the escape hatch when you are surrounded by the wrong colour.

iPhone
Drag to move. Tap SHIFT to change colour, tap SHIELD to repulse.
Mac
The player follows the mouse. C or Tab shifts colour, Space is the shield, Esc pauses. Arrow keys and Return navigate menus.
Apple TV
Siri Remote or a game controller. The left stick or touchpad moves, the face buttons shift colour and trigger the shield.
Apple Watch
Drag on the screen to move. Rotate the Digital Crown to shift colour. A short press triggers the shield.
Photosensitivity warning. NEON FLUX uses bright flashing effects, rapid colour changes and high-contrast light on a dark background. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing light, please take this seriously before playing. Stop immediately if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, disorientation, or any involuntary movement.

Common questions

Where did my scores go?
Progress is stored only on the device you played on. It does not sync between devices and is not backed up to any server. Deleting the app deletes it.
Can I play against someone else?
Local multiplayer on one screen is supported on Apple TV and Mac with game controllers attached. There is no online multiplayer.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. The game never contacts any server. See the privacy policy.
I am colour-blind. Can I play?
The core mechanic is colour matching, which is a genuine problem for some forms of colour vision deficiency. Improving this is a priority — if this affects you, please write, and say which type, so the fix is aimed at the right thing.
